BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY

“A hound it was, an enormous coal-black hound, but not such a hound as mortal eyes have ever seen.”

We open our season with a madcap adaptation of Sherlock Holmes’ most puzzling and notorious case, The Hound of the Baskervilles. Playwright Ken Ludwig brings Holmes, Dr. Watson, and 3 actors playing nearly 40 roles to this no-holds-barred comedic adventure. A dash of hilarity, a flash of horror, and a splash of theatrical wonder all combine to have you howling - with laughter! To make it even more fun, this delightful caper is a classic Merely Players Found Space production, staged in a local barn at 123 Mama Llama Lane. Seating for this show is extremely limited; becoming a season subscriber ensures that you will get tickets. Fun for all ages.

MAN OF LA MANCHA

“This is my quest -- To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far“

Inspired by one of the greatest novels of all time, Man of La Mancha recounts the legend of the errant knight, Don Quixote, and his trusty sidekick, Sancho. Powerful, funny, and heartbreaking, it is one of the most honored musicals of the American theater, having garnered 5 Tony Awards when it opened over half a century ago. The magnificent score, which includes the unforgettable “The Impossible Dream,“ will leave you breathless, as the show celebrates the perseverance of one man who refuses to relinquish his ideals, and who is determined to see life “not as it is, but as it ought to be.“

MAY 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. MAY 5, 12, 13 at 1:00 P.M.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM

“The course of true love never did run smooth.“

When mischievous fairies meddle in the forest, love goes astray in this dizzying love potion of magic and delight. By popular demand, Merely Players brings you another Shakespearean comedy under the stars at the beautiful James Ranch Terraces. Bring the family, and join homegrown professional actors for a bit of Midsummer madness, laughter, and charm. Burger options will be available as add-ons at a later date. ’Tis almost fairy time!
